Leonardo Bonucci praised Juventus' solidity as a team after they secured an all-important three points against SPAL on Saturday.
“It's always tricky to kick off a busy run of games after a break,” the defender said in the wake of the 2-0 success at Allianz Stadium.
“It was vital to win tonight to keep our place at the top and move clear of the teams playing after us. We produced an excellent team performance. We let SPAL have sterile possession in the first half then struck at the right time.”
Leo also had words of praise for goalscorers Mario Mandzukic and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Mario has always been an important player with the charisma he brings. I'm happy for him and for us that he scored.
“Cristiano is a top professional who works incredibly hard. Juventus have got themselves the best player in the world.”
With another three points on the board in Serie A, attentions immediately turn to the Champions League match against Valencia.
“We'll start preparing for Tuesday now. We want to make sure of our place in the next round, then we can look to seal first place against Young Boys.”
