It was action-packed opening 10 minutes in Vinovo, as Atalanta Mozzanica took the lead after just four minutes of play when Cecilia Salvai turned into her own net following a free-kick to the visitors.

The Bianconere were then handed an opportunity to draw level moments after the restart, as a great ball into the box from Lisa Boattin was met by Cristina Girelli who was bundled over by Andrea Scarpellini. However, Girelli was unable to convert from the spot, seeing her effort saved by Diede Lemey in the Atalanta goal with a low save to her right.

Rita Guarino's girls weren't to be deterred and drew level minutes later when last week's hat-trick hero, Eniola Aluko picked up the ball in space on the edge of the box and coolly slotted past Lemey to make it 1-1.

The second half saw Juventus Women produce a battling display, creating a few chances to break down the stubborn Atalanta defence. Aluko went closest to scoring a late match-winner, as she just failed to make sufficient contact with Barbara Bonansea's 89th minute centre.

Juventus Women will look to return to winning ways on Wednesday night, as they play their game in hand at home to Orobica. (31 October, 20:30 CEST).
