Juventus Women reach the Coppa Italia quarter-finals after victory away to Castelvecchio in the Last 16. Goals from Benedetta Glionna, Valentina Cernoia, Cristina Girelli and Arianna Caruso ensured a comfortable victory for Rita Guarino's girls.

Juve came flying out of the blocks from the off with Asia Bragonzi hitting the post after just two minutes! Cernoia was then also denied by the woodwork in the 20th minute, as the frame of the goal denied her strike. The Bianconere eventually found the breakthrough towards the end of the first half, as Glionna managed to find a way through to beat Eleonora Pacini in the Castelvecchio goal.

The second half began in the same vein as the first, only this time Juve doubled their lead rather than their post tally, as Cernoia scored straight from the restart. The intensity turned up a notch immediately, as after her goal the Bianconere winger was substituted for Girelli, and the number 10 made an instant impact scoring a free-kick in the 54th minute. 10 minutes later and Arianna Caruso put the cherry on the cake with a well-taken goal to make it 0-4 and seal Juventus Women's passage into the next round!

MATCH REACTION

Cecilia Salvai

"We didn't focus on our opponents today we focused on ourselves. It was important that we played our game and we made an aggressive start in order to wrap it up as soon as possible and get into the next round."

Rita Guarino

"The first half we acquitted ourselves well and found spaces but found it difficult to score and when the opportunity arose we managed to find another gear. We knew that it wouldn't be an easy match and we have to complement our opponents for making us work."
