Juventus Women started the second half of the season just as they kicked off their historic debut campaign: with a 3-0 win over Atalanta Mozzanica.
Barbara Bonansea scored on the opening day against today’s opponents back in September, and the forward struck again this afternoon to get the ball rolling in Vinovo, her cross-shot from the left ending up in the back of the net after 17 minutes.
Just two minutes later, the Bianconere were 2-0 up when Martina Rosucci played in Benedetta Glionna, who kept her cool to slide past the keeper into the bottom corner.
Midway through the second half, Rosucci came close to making it 3-0 after a neat one-two move saw her shot ultimately saved by away stopper Gaëlle Thalmann.
On 73 minutes, however, the Bianconere had their three-goal cushion when Arianna Caruso collected the ball in the box, turned quickly and drove low into the corner.
With today’s win, Rita Guarino’s team move to 36 points in the table, three above nearest rivals Brescia. Next up for Juventus Women is an away trip to Res Roma on Saturday 10 February (14.30 CET).
