After a perfect 2017, in which Juventus Women won every match they played, the Bianconere are raring to go again this year with Saturday’s Serie A match at home to Fimauto Valpolicella (kick-off 14.30 CET).
“We’re looking to kick off from where we left off after a very positive end to last year,” declared coach, Rita Guarino. “I’m expecting a team that knows how to approach the match with conviction, as they have done until now.
“Clearly it won’t be easy to repeat all the great things we achieved in 2017. We have to keep working towards every single game, fully focused on one objective at a time in order to achieve the best we can.”
The Bianconere have been training regularly since their last league match – a 5-0 win over Ravenna Woman on 16 December – and got their eye in ahead of returning to action with a friendly victory over Real Meda last Friday.
“During the winter break, we continued training except for a few days over Christmas and on New Year’s Day,” continued Guarino. “The girls have been working constantly in order to maintain the high standards they already set and to kick off the new year in style.”
