ALL LEVEL ON THE FINAL DAY

Juventus Women are currently joint-top of the Women’s Serie A leaderboard as they head into the final matchday of the domestic season. The Bianconere have 57 points, the same as Brescia with very little to separate each other over the course of the season, with both sides having won 19 and lost twice. The Bianconere will win their first-ever Scudetto in their first-ever season on Saturday should they better Brescia’s result away to Verona.

Last time out Juventus Women won 0-2 away to Chievo to earn a vital three points. Aurora Galli opened the scoring from the spot in the 33rd minute after Sofia Cantore had been fouled in the box. Rita Guarino’s girls sealed the game 10 minutes from time when substitute Valentina Cernoia went on a great run on the right-hand side and put in a fantastic cross for Arianna Caruso to head home.

TAVAGNACCO WITH EYES ON SILVERWARE

Despite not being able to challenge for the Scudetto or the Champions League, Tavagnacco have a Coppa Italia semi-final against Brescia to play on Wednesday 16 May, should they advance they will face the winner of Pink Bari-Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia final.

Tavagnacco come into the game in good form having won eight out of their last 10 in all competitions and four out of the their last four. In their last game they beat Pink Bari 4-0 at home with a brace each from Elisa Camporese and topscorer, Paola Brumana. The Bianconere will have to pay attention to Tavagnacco’s front-two as Brumana and Scottish forward, Lana Clelland have 40 goals between them this season in all competitions.

LAST TIME VS TAVAGNACCO

Tavagnacco proved to be a tough nut to crack for Juventus Women when they travelled to Friuli back in January, as they had to come from behind to win 1-2 at the Dacia Arena.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when Marta Mascarello swung in a corner that deceived Laura Giuliani and ended up in the back of the net. However, Juventus Women rallied and levelled the scores 15 minutes later when Sanni Franssi fed Galli who in-turn played in Barbara Bonansea, with the Italian international keeping her cool to slot home. Bonansea then turned provider when her through-pass set Franssi away with the Juventus Women’s number nine chipping over the onrushing keeper to complete the comeback.
