Juventus Women resumed their Serie A season with victory in Verona, as goals by Martina Rosucci and Sofia Cantore were enough to seal all three points and a 15th straight Serie A win on Monday night.

Bianconere forward and top scorer, Barbara Bonansea, gave opposition keeper, Diede Lemey, her first real test between the sticks with a firm strike early on, but it was Juve’s number eight, Martina Rosucci, who would break the deadlock in the 13th minute.

Rosucci collected Lisa Boattin’s low cross from the left before firing past Lemey for her fourth goal of the season.

Having taken the lead, the visitors assumed control of possession, limiting Verona to the occasional counter-attack with the hosts never threatening the Bianconere defence or Laura Giuliani in goal.

It would be the same story after half-time, as Juventus Women looked the more dangerous team going forwards: soon after the hour-mark, Aurora Galli unleashed a fierce shot from the edge of the box, which flew narrowly wide of the post.

As the clock struck 77 minutes, however, the visitors made their pressure count when Cantore doubled their lead, capitalising on a defensive error by Caterina Ambrosi to score her first Serie A goal.

With this victory, Juventus Women move on to a perfect 45 points from 15 matches. Next up is Pink Bari at home this Saturday at 15.00 CET.
