Juventus find themselves in a good position ahead of the return leg of their semi-final against Atalanta. Speaking after the match, Blaise Matuidi expressed his satisfaction with the result, while underlining that there is plenty to do on 28 February at Allianz Stadium. “It was a tough match against a quality side in Atalanta. We did well to score but it's not over. We’ve still got 90 minutes to play to get to the final,” he said. Commenting on captain Gianluigi Buffon, who in an inspired display saved Alejandro Gomez’s spot kick and denied Andrea Petagna in the latter stages of the game, the midfielder added: “It’s a great honour for me to train every day with a legend of the game, a top player and a top man.”

Meanwhile, having been praised for his own performance, Matuidi was quick to highlight the importance of the team ethos. “Above all, I play for the team. There are great players here and I want to help them win things. We’ve got a lot of work to do but, with team-mates like this, anything is possible. “We have lots of players who can make the difference but our real strength is the team.”
