READY FOR SERIE A RETURN!

Twenty-three days later, Juventus Women are back! The international break is over and now Rita Guarino’s girls are raring to go again as they resume their Serie A season with tonight’s match away to Verona, kicking off at 20.00 CET.

Plenty of time has passed since their last match – a 4-0 home win over Empoli on 17 February – but now supporters can look forward to following the Bianconere again in a busy period that sees them now play four times in the space of just 12 days.

After tonight’s contest in Verona, they take on Bari in Vinovo this Saturday (17 March), while next week they visit Novese in the Coppa Italia (21 March) and Sassuolo in Serie A (24 March).

Watch highlights from the Bianconere's victory over Empoli:

OPPOSITION WATCH: VERONA

Verona sit in eighth place on 15 points, but enjoy a strong home record this season having lost just once – against Atalanta Mozzanica on 11 November – and since then have picked up seven from a possible nine points in front of their fans with wins over Empoli and Zaccaria, and a draw against Sassuolo.

Last time out, they lost 1-0 to inter-city rivals Fimauto Valpolicella, so will be looking for a reaction tonight against the Bianconere, who in turn are aiming to maintain their 100 per cent record in their inaugural season.

Verona’s top scorers so far this season are Icelandic striker, Berglind Björg Þorvaldsdóttir, and Bulgarian midfielder, Lilyana Kostova, with four goals apiece.

WHAT RITA SAID

“I am expecting a tough match as always straight after a pause in the league season. Verona are playing well and have fewer points than their quality might have warranted.

"They will put us under pressure on Monday night, but we need to make sure that our journey continues.”
