Yet again, the Juventus Women stepped up to the challenge.

Playing perhaps their toughest match yet, Rita Guarino's side came from a goal down to top Tavagnacco 2-1 in a thrilling win at the Dacia Arena in Udine.

The victory sees Juventus move 11 points ahead of third-placed Tavagnacco while staying three points ahead of Brescia at the top of the table.

After a quiet first half, the match played at the Dacia Arena sprung to life as the home side took a lead against the run of play. In the 53rd minute, Marta Mascarello swung in a corner that goalkeeper Laura Giuliani struggled to handle with the ball eventually ending up in the back of the net.

The Juventus Women have answered every call this season, however, and the goal only spurred them on. Sanni Franssi slid a pass at the top of the box to Aurora Galli with the Italian finding teammate Barbara Bonansea bearing down on goal. Back from national team duty, Bonansea made no mistake equalizing in the 67th minute.

Just over five minutes later, the comeback would be complete as Bonansea found Franssi this time with the Finland international chipping the on-rushing 'keeper to put the Bianconere on top.

There would be nervy moments at the end as Paola Brumana would hit the post with nearly the last kick of the match, but the Juventus Women held on to stay a perfect 11-0-0 on the season.

Next up for the Bianconere is a showdown against fourth-placed Atalanta Mozzanica on Sunday, 4 February at 15.45 in the Ale&Ricky Pitch in Vinovo.
