A week's break from club football is underway and here is how Juventus' Champions League opponents fared going into the international week.

Atletico Madrid is third in the LaLiga standings, but with one more match than the leading pair: Real Madrid and Barcelona. They have a total of 24 points in 13 games, the result of six wins and six draws, 15 goals scored and eight conceded. In the last round, Simeone's players beat Espanyol 3-1 at home (goals from Correa, Morata and Koke).

In Germany, Leverkusen is eighth on the log, seven points behind leaders Monchengladbach, with 18 in total. They have secured five wins and three draws in 11 games, the last of which they won against Wolfsburg (0-2 away from home with goals from Bellarabi and Paulinho)

Finally Russia: after losing last week to Juve, Lokomotiv drew 1-1 at home against Krasnodar on Sunday. Krychowiak was on the scoresheet. This result met table-toppers Zenit moved five points clear from Lokomotiv (36 points to 31)
