Juventus has secured a victory in the five Champions League matches with Atletico Madrid (1W, 2D, 2L), a 3-0 success at the Allianz Stadium in the first knockout round in 2018-19.

Atletico Madrid has recorded only three victories in the previous 10 against Juventus in all competitions (3W, 2D, 5L), four of the five defeats were in the Fairs Cup and the other in the Champions League (0-3 in March 2019).

Atletico Madrid have lost only one of nine matches against Italian teams in the Champions League (5W, 3D, 1L), keeping a clean sheet in six of them.

Juventus have won 14 and lost only one of their last 23 home games in the Champions League group stage (8D). La Vecchia Signora could win four consecutive home games in the group stage (all group formats) for the first time since October 2008 (12 successes).

Atletico Madrid has won only two of the last 11 Champions League away games (2V, 5N, 4P), losing the most recent against Bayer Leverkusen.

Juventus have scored eight goals in this Champions League - already twice as many as last season, when they reached the quarter-finals.

Atletico Madrid have not lost two consecutive games in the Champions League group stage since October 2009, when they recorded two defeats against Porto and Chelsea under the leadership of Abel Resino.

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has kept 24 clean sheets in 46 matches played in the Champions League. If he manages to not concede a goal, he would be the second fastest goalkeeper to reach 25 clean sheets in the competition behind the former Milan goalkeeper Dida (45 appearances).

Atletico Madrid striker Álvaro Morata scored with two of his last three shots in the Champions League, after having found the net with only one of the 27 previous efforts in the competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 25 goals against Atletico Madrid in all competitions - he has only scored more goals against Sevilla (27). The Portuguese striker registered four hat-tricks against Atletico, two of them in the Champions League (March 2019 and May 2017).
