Alex Sandro moved one step closer to adding another trophy to his glittering cabinet, when he and Brazil qualified for the final of the Copa America after eliminating Paulo Dybala’s Argentina.

The 28-year-old started for Brazil in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening, while Dybala came off the bench late in the second half of the game. Sandro’s 90-minute performance helped play a crucial role in ensuring safe passage into the final of the tournament, as Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino put a goal each past Armani in goal in the 19th and 71st minute respectively.

Alex Sandro and Brazil will find out this evening who they will meet in the final between Peru and Chile, while Argentina will face the loser of that clash in the third-place play-off. The final will be played on Sunday, 7 July, kick-off at 22:00 CEST in Rio De Janiero's Maracana.
