After last weekend’s #W8NDERFUL celebrations, we went straight back into preparation mode.

The Derby d’Italia, one of football’s most illustrious fixtures is around the corner and Massimiliano Allegri had this to say in his press conference.

THE IMPORTANCE OF TOMORROW

"Tomorrow is still Inter-Juve. It will be a great match and we have to go there and get a result, because our goal from here until the end of the season is to continue picking up points.

"Giorgio Chiellini is back and tomorrow he plays, whilst Rodrigo Bentancur has a muscle problem. The others are fine and are ready to play a good game."

GETTING STRONGER

For Allegri the focus remains on tomorrow’s challenge but our Scudetto winning manager knows that the other teams continue to get stronger and while they do, so do we.

"At the end of the season we have to begin planning how we can continue to grow. We will analyse the season in the best way possible so we can create the prerequisites for another winning year.

"I want to try two things before the season is over but not tomorrow night: 1. Playing Federico Bernardeschi and João Cancelo in the box-to-box midfielder roles and 2. Trying Emre Can there, who has already proven he can play in a midfield three."

THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Of course, another goal for next season is to go as far as possible in the Champions League. Everyone will remember our great comeback against Atletico Madrid in the round-of-16. However, our quarter-final match against Ajax did not end the way we wanted. Nonetheless, the unpredictable nature of this competition is what makes it what it is.

"The Champions League is as beautiful a competition as it is difficult. This is because you have to have so many players in form at the right time. We already had a lot of injuries by the time we faced Atletico, that's why I say it wasn't an easy year.

"Douglas Costa has had a complicated season. He is an important player and you saw that in the minutes he played in Amsterdam.

"Juventus have been established as amongst the best eight in Europe in the last few years. There is a project which will be continued in the coming years, and we are still talking about a team that won 50% of the competitions that they were in this year."

Inter-Juventus kicks off at 8:30PM CEST on Saturday and you can follow the action on JuventusTV
