Everything you need to know about our challenge against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium

SEVEN TIMES AGAINST ATLETICO ... Atletico Madrid have faced Juventus seven times in European competitions. Five of them came in the Fairs Cup in the '60s. The last Bianconeri success against Atletico was in June 1965 in the return leg of the semi-final of the Fairs Cup (3-1).

ONCE BEFORE ... The only time we’ve played Atletico Madrid in the Champions League was in the group stage of 2014/15. Only one goal scored in two challenges, that of Arda Turan to Vicente Calderón.

DOMINANT DIEGO … Atletico is unbeaten in the Champions League against Italian teams under Diego Simeone (4V, 2N). In these six games, he suffered only one goal. A 4-1 victory against Milan in March 2014.

FIVE OUT OF SIX FOR ATLETICO … Atletico have reached the knockout phase in five of the six attempts with Simeone as coach. The only exception was in the last season, when he came third in the group but won the Europa League.

HOME FORTEESS … Atletico is unbeaten in 12 home games in the knockout phase in the Champions League (7V, 5N). They have conceded just one goal in the last 10 home games in the knockout phase. It was Real Madrid's Isco that did the damage back in May 2017.

TWO GREAT DEFENSES Only Atletico Madrid (six) suffered fewer shots at goal from within the penalty area than Juventus (nine) in this Champions League campaign.

ATTENTION TO GRIEZMANN Antoine Griezmann has scored or assisted in his last six Champions League matches at the Wanda Metropolitano (six goals, three assists). This season he took an active part in six of the nine goals scored by Atletico (67%). This is the highest percentage among the last 16 teams remaining in the competition.

LA JOYA Paulo Dybala has scored six goals in his last seven appearances in the Champions League. More goals than he’s scored in his previous 24 games in the competition with Juventus (five). All his 11 goals in the Champions League have come with his left foot.

THE NINTH FOR ALLEGRI Massimiliano Allegri has reached the knockout phase of this competition in all nine of his participations as a coach in the Champions League. He lost the final in two of the last four seasons managing Juventus.
