The game against Milan is already archived, it’s time, in the Bianconeri home, to focus on the super challenge that awaits in Amsterdam at Johan Cruyff Arena, the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Ajax.
Joao Cancelo, who is "ready for Amsterdam" after resting in the last two outings to recover from calf fatigue, analysed the delicate match against the Lancieri.
"Ajax is a really strong team,” said the Portuguese. “I watched the match they played in Madrid with Real. They have so many young players with so much talent and we have to be very careful. However, we are ready to play our best possible match and bring home the win to make it more likely to go to the semi-finals.”
The Scudetto victory is one step away, but for Cancelo, it does not represent a distraction for he and his teammates: “At Juve we always think game by game. Now there is Ajax and we are focused on them, then we will think about making the point that we need to win the Scudetto as soon as possible.”
The secret to the Bianconeri's crushing March in the league? “The Italian league is very difficult, with teams that raise their quality when they play with Juve, “he explains. “But this year we’ve had a mentality of another level and we deserve this first place.”
