In our fist Copa America match in which we saw two teams that both have players for Juventus, it was in fact the team predicted to win that fell.

Argentina, who played the match with Dybala on the bench were led by a frightening front line of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Angel Di Maria and were clear favourites to win the match.

And indeed, it was the Argentineans that dominated the majority of game; leading the Colombians in possession, shots, shots on target and corners. However, a stable Colombian defence didn’t allow the 14 time Copa America winners to stifle their composure.

With Cuadrado controlling the right wing, the Colombians created many chances to take the game and they did just that in the final 20 minutes.

Two substitutes, Martinez and Zapata scored Colombia’s two goals to give them the victory over Argentina. Roger Martinez who replaced Luis Muriel scored the first after 71 minutes. Duvan Zapata, a player that many will know from Serie A’s Atalanta replaced Radamel Falcao and sealed the deal for the Colombians, scoring after 81 minutes to end the match 2-0.

Next up for Cuadrado and Colombia will be a match against the Qatar, Wednesday June 19, 23:30 CEST. Dybala and Argentina will play Paraguay, Thursday June 20, 02:30 CEST.

Tonight at 00:00 CEST Bentancur and Caceres will go up against Ecuador. Good luck to our Bianconeri Uruguayans.
