It’s a special day for Martin Caceres, who celebrates his 32nd birthday.
Caceres’ story has been tinged in black and white since the 2009/10 season, and from that moment, both club and player have continued to find each other. Indeed, the versatile Uruguayan defender boats a unique record: this year is the third time he has worn the Juventus jersey, after two previous tenures.
After the first season with Juventus, he travelled to Spain to play for Sevilla, where he remained there for two years (between 2010-12), before then returning to Turin. Here, he contributed to four years filled with victories and satisfactions (in total: Caceres has won five Scudetti, two Coppa Italias, and three Italian Super Cups). A separation then took place between 2017 and 2019 (with spells spent at Verona, Lazio and Southampton).
Caceres' love for the Bianconeri colors has always been declared, even when he was away from the club. And it has also always been reciprocated by Juventus and the fans, who welcomed him warmly every time he came back to the stadium as an opponent. That is why, when Martín crossed the gates of the JTC this past January for the third time, it seemed quite natural to see him again with the jersey of his and our hearts.
Juventus and the fans send out our best wishes to him. Feliz cumpleaños, Martín!
