Juventus have won only one of their last seven away games in Germany in the Champions League (2D, 4L), it was a 3-0 success in Dortmund in March 2015.

Bayer Leverkusen have not won three consecutive Champions League victories since November 2014 when Roger Schmidt was at the helm.

Only two teams have benefited more from own goals in a single Champions League edition than Leverkusen (three in 2019-20): Inter in 2002-03 (four) and Barcelona in 2017-18 (five).

Leverkusen have lost only two of their last 17 home games in all European competitions, including qualifications (8W, 7D). The two defeats came against Atlético Madrid in February 2017 and against Lokomotiv Moscow last September (both in the Champions League).

Maurizio Sarri has won the last four games in the Champions League, one victory more than those he obtained in his previous 13 matches (3W, 3D, 7L). The last Italian coach to win five matches in a row in the competition was Massimiliano Allegri in April 2017.
