Today, at 18:00 CEST against Parma, Juventus will begin their new Serie A adventure in the 2019/20 season.

THE FIRST MATCHDAY

Juventus have won 56 of the opening match days in Serie A, more than any other team, and they are the team to have scored the most games in Week One of Serie A (190 goals).

In the last eight Serie A seasons, Juventus won seven times in the first round of fixtures: the only defeat came in 2015 against Udinese.

The Bianconeri have won all three of the opening round fixtures against Parma (1990-91, 2011-12 and 2012-13).

When playing on the road, the Bianconeri have claimed a victory in all three previous Week One fixtures.

In general, the Bianconeri have won the first away match in 17 of the last 20 Serie A seasons (one draw, two defeats).

Juventus and Parma have met on 65 occasions, with 48 of them coming in Serie A.

The Bianconeri have played in Parma on 24 occasions, and Juventus have won seven times. The most recent victory came just last year (1-2, Mandzukic and Matuidi scored for Juve).

There is perfect balance in the scoresheet between Parma and Juve at Tardini: seven wins per side, 10 draws, 25 goals scored by Juventus and as many conceded. The 1-3 victory in 1995 is the biggest victory recorded over the Gialloblu: that triumph was recorded on 8 January, to be precise. Dino Baggio gave the Parmigiani a lead, but the the Lady completed a comeback, through a Paulo Sousa goal and a double by Ravanelli.
