There is a historical precedent that tells of a match between Juventus and Fiorentina as decisive for the fate of the Scudetto.

The year is 1981: 24 May.

Juventus is looking for the two points that is needed to celebrate the victory that would put the Tricolor on the jersey for the 19th time, and in the Comunale that is full of passion and fans, Juventus immediately shows their intent of being in search of a victory, going close to goal with Cabrini first and then Tardelli.

It is Cabrini himself, with a great volley on the cross from the left by the Moroccan, that signs off the Scudetto goal towards the half-hour of the first half. In the second half, Fiorentina tries to shake things up, and they engage the Juventus backline. But Juve wants to legitimise the Scudetto success, and does so with Brady, Fanna, Causio and finally with Tardelli, who hits the crossbar at the end of the game.

The rest is a party.
