Maurizio Sarri, Paulo Dybala and Wojciech Szczesny spoke to the microphones at the end of the game against Milan. These are their statements:

MAURIZIO SARRI

"We were willing to suffer; the spirit was the right one. We had to play with more quality because we missed a lot and gave the ball away in different situations, but in the end the desire to win prevailed. When you play seven games in 20 days you risk getting a little drained on a nervous level rather than a physical one. Milan pulled on goal, but almost always from outside the area, we defended well. Higuain? For us, he is becoming a fundamental player, who knows how to communicate with his teammates, who sacrifices himself and is always willing to assist. Ronaldo? He should be thanked because he made himself available despite not being in optimal conditions. In the last month he has had this discomfort in his knee and this "a little problem" for him.

PAULO DYBALA

“Maybe we didn't show our best game, but today it was important to win, because these are fundamental points for the league race. Milan is a great team and has players who can create danger at any time. Tek (Szczesny) was good and the defence also played a great game... I could only do that and luckily the shot came out well. The head-to-head with Inter? Now it seems that the league will be a duel between us and them, but we still have a lot to go.”

WOJCIECH SZCZESNY

"It was a very open game, Milan played very well, but we found lucidity in front of the goal at the end and we brought the result home. This evening I was busy, and it doesn't happen often, but I'm glad I helped the team. The most difficult save was the one on Paquetà, the others were all from outside the area. I'm glad I didn't concede a goal, I always prefer to win 1-0 rather than 4-3... As for the league I don't know if it will be a duel with Inter. There are many strong teams like Atalanta, Roma, Lazio and you always have to be ready to secure the three points.”
