Juventus Women ended off 2019 in style by claiming a 2-0 Serie A win over Pink Bari on Saturday afternoon at Vinovo. The victory meant that Juventus won all nine games played in the league this season at home.

The Bianconere were controlling the game with ease and they grabbed the lead in the 19th minute when Bonansea played a delightful ball from the right flank into the box, Cernoia grabbed it and struck a stunning left-footed effort that curled in under the crossbar. The hosts continued to command play at their own pace, allowing no room for Pink Bari to test Giuliani in goal. Aurora Galli, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, turned the scoreline to 2-0 when he was involved in a give-and-go between Girelli and Pedersen, before curling the ball into the top right corner of the net in the 40th minute.

Juventus came out equally strong after the break, and Bonansea threatened with her effort from range that whisked just wide of the goal frame. Staskova then replaced Cernoia in the 66th minute of action, before Rosucci then played a great ball for Galli inside the box. She shot at goal and saw her effort basically cleared off the line to deny her of a brace. Rosucci was then replaced by Maria Alves, as the Bianconere once again threatened at Bari’s goal only to be denied by the goalkeeper. Guarino’s went on to claim the victory, as they finished off the year with three points under their belt.
