Lecce v Juventus: post-match reaction
“We let ourselves get dragged into a scrappy game. We needed to maintain our focus better because we played well and fashioned ten chances but weren't able to take them.
“We needed to be a bit more determined and clinical after we scored. I didn't like the way we played after taking the lead – we sat back too much.
“We must improve defensively, although we're not affording the opposition that many chances from open play. We conceded from a set piece and we need to avoid certain situations.”
On the penalty given against Matthijs de Ligt: “It looked accidental to me. The ball came off an opponent who was very close to him. With the new rules it's hard to avoid certain situations.”
“We had lots of chances but couldn't finish them off and that should set alarm bells ringing. When you create lots and don't put them away the game can easily take a turn for the worse.
“We have to roll up our sleeves and be even more determined – and learn quickly too, otherwise we can end up dropping important points by the wayside. That's what happened today. Luckily we have a chance to get straight back to winning ways on Wednesday.”
