Another new nationality joins the already international make-up of the Juventus Women team just before the start of the season. The Bianconere have made yet another signing in the form of Brazilian, Maria Aparecida Alves Souza, or as she is better known, Maria Alves.
Born in 1993, the player arrives from Sereias Da Vila - the Santos women's team. Maria has been was with the side since 2015, winning two titles - the Brasileiro in 2017 and the Paulistão the following year, playing a total of 142 games and scoring 25 goals. In the Selecao jersey, Maria played for her country between 2011-2017, also participating in the Women's Under-20 World Cup in 2012.
Now, after already wearing the Black & White of Santos, she will soon wear the Black & White of Juventus - as soon as the international transfer clearance arrives, that will allow her to step out onto the pitch with us.
Welcome, Maria Alves!
