Martusciello: “Tomorrow will be a special match”

Martusciello was the reference point on the bench when the Bianconeri took on Parma in the opening game of Serie A, and, today, he spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s home outing against Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli.

One of the first things he addressed was whether or not Head Coach Maurizio Sarri will be on the bench: "Sarri has always been present at Continassa, he's good. We have the final preparation in the afternoon and then we'll see if he's able to make tomorrow. We will wait until after today’s afternoon session to see who will play."

He then had a few words to say about tomorrow evening’s opponents: “Napoli are a great team, well-trained by Ancelotti. Even if it comes at the start of the season, it's a big game and we are motivated to do well, indeed, very well."

“Tomorrow evenings match will be special match and there will be many particular emotions, on a personal and professional level. Our objective is to win; therefore, it is crucial that everyone is on the same page. Tomorrow is an important match for us, for them and for the world of football."

Martusciello then touched on a few other topics:

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW

"Our Champions League group is a challenging one and we have to work on improving. However, we are Juve and we are well aware of our strengths.”

ON HIGUAIN & DYBALA

“Higuain is a player who knows (Sarri’s) the style of play well. He is an important player with quality. Dybala is an extraordinary player, who can play as a forward role very well. He is very motivated and a level-headed person.”

RAMSEY’S CONDITION

“He is improving but he is still behind in his level of fitness, but we hope to have him back in better form after the international break.”
