Juventus faced Napoli at San Paolo, with only one result in mind: the Partenopei were four points in front of the Bianconeri, and if they were to win, they would create an even bigger gap at the top of the table. Juventus only needed four minutes to break the ice: "It would soon be recognised that Higuain would become the protagonist of the match, when he tested Pepe Reina after combining with Douglas Costa."
In the 13th minute, the decisive episode took place: Douglas Costa recovered the ball, spirnted away and fed the ball through to Dybala, who lead the counter attack. He saw Higuain on the right, and released the ball into the area. And with Pipita in that position, the outcome was already on the cards.
Napoli reacted, and they had just over an hour to recover and overturn the result, but the Bianconeri were brilliant to not get complacement, and tighten the gap in the standings. Upon reflection, it would be a result that would be decisive for the continuation of the championship.
It was the last game which Juventus have played at San Paolo.
