Juventus steamrolled to a 1-7 win over Orobica Calcio Bergamo on Saturday afternoon at Stadio Giacinto Fachetti in Cologno. All but one of the Bianconere’s goals were scored in the first half, with Martina Rosucci bagging a brace.

Barbara Bonansea was handed her first start of the season after returning from injury, while Rosucci donned the captain’s armband as Sara Gama was rested.

The Bianconere wasted no time in getting their name on the scoresheet, when they took the lead into the seventh minute. Valentina Cernoia found the back of the net when she fired in a rebound off Rosucci’s volley, that sailed into the back of the net. The team suffered an injury blow to Boattin, who was forced into being substituted in the 14th minute by Hyyrynen. The injury didn’t seem to stop Juventus from laying on the attack, and they doubled their lead in the 17th minute through a Rosucci volley. The scoreline was changed to 0-3, three minutes later, when Sofie Pedersen broke through the middle and slotted the ball under the onrushing goalkeeper. Rosucci grabbed her second of the day in the 26th minute when she knocked home at the far post following a cross from Bonansea. It was undoubtedly one-way traffic, and it took just 32 minutes for Bonansea to mark her return to the starting XI as she got onto the scoresheet too, with a little nutmeg on the opposition keeper, to make it 0-5. Bonansea nearly grabbed a brace of her own when the Orobica defender and goalkeeper couldn’t clear away her downward header, and it went down as an own ball as it rolled across the line. The first half ended 0-6 in Juventus' favour.

Despite being down by six goals, Orobica started off the second half well and they threatened at Bacic’s goal with an effort that leaped over the stopper and kissed the crossbar. Girelli, who had previously found the back of the net on nine occasions already, burst forward and smacked the side netting, before Rosucci was denied by the woodwork in the 50th minute. Asia Bragonzi came on in place of Bonansea, while Caruso came agonizingly close to getting her name on the scoresheet that was deflected just wide of goal. Cecilia Salvai made her return to action after eight months when she replaced Sembrant in the 71st minute. Orobica did pull one back when a missed placed clearance saw Merli pounce on the ball and hit it past the Bianconera goalkeeper. Girelli came close with her header, but she found her goal just before full time whistle with a header off Cernoia’s corner kick, wrapping up a 1-7 away win.
