Juve continued their summer training with a victory, via a penalty shootout in Nanjing against Inter, following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.

"The feeling is that we can improve a lot, especially in the offensive part of the game,” explains the coach. “The game was similar to that of Sunday: better in the second half, we played with more courage and we managed to control of the match. We still have to grow in the ability to shorten those who start with pressure, getting used to defending against the player in front of us, not on what we have behind us. It is about changing the way of thinking and it is not easy to happen in a short time.”
And he adds: "Right now you can accept mistakes, I didn't want to see passivity, but a team that could also be wrong while remaining proactive."
It’s amazing, it is a pleasure to be here. We like being here. The Chinese are fantastic and they give support myself and Juventus a lot. When we play against Inter it is always a good a game. They are fantastic team and they have a fantastic coach. Today we played well, especially in the second half. We just have to win, in my opinion…
"It was a good test for all of us because Inter played a real match,” explains Daniele Rugani at the end of the match. “The tempo was high from the beginning and it was not easy because of the qualities of the opponents and for the warm climate. It is normal that, at this time of the season, there may be difficulties, but the team has a lot of enthusiasm in order to better prepare for an important season.
"The method of play have yet to enter the head, but we are on the right track,” adds the defender. “It changes a little for us defenders because the coach asks us to play a higher line, ne more attentive to the reading of the ball and less so in relation to the man. In this type of game, it is important that the defensive phase being implemented by the whole team.
Rugani wrapped up with a comment on the warmth of the Juventus supporters in China: “We have always found great affection and enthusiastic fans. It really makes us happy and we are really happy to be here.”
