After a long summer of preparation, tours and new arrivals. The new Serie A season is here and we begin tomorrow in Parma. In Maurizio Sarri’s absence, Pavel Nedved took the stage to the stage to discuss our first challenge of this new season.

First, addressing the audience, the vice president had this to say on the absence of the manager. “I bring you greetings from Maurizio Sarri, who will return after the international break. Important changes have been made but it's not a moment of transition. Juve is made up of professionalism, work, and sacrifices and we want to win again this year.”

As it is now known, the Juventus manager has been diagnosed with pneumonia and we all wish him a healthy and speedy recovery.

When asked about the acquisition of new talent this summer, it was made very clear that our window of opportunity is not yet finished. “Fabio Paratici has had a great transfer window and if other opportunities arise we will seize them.

Juventus are historically built to win and we will try again this year. The team is responding well, we have two important players for each role and we feel strong."

However, the talk was not just about the potential of new players coming in. There were also significant words said on our current crop of players and what they have to offer to the squad moving forward this season.

Nedved first spoke on our French midfielder, acquired this summer. "Rabiot didn't surprise me. We had looked at him for a long time and I believe that he will be an important player. He hasn't played for a lot of months so will need some time."

Rabiot, has been involved in all of our games this summer and the new signing looks increasing promising.

Gonzalo Higuain was also a subject from the press and invoked the following response. “Higuain is one of the best strikers in the world. He knows Sarri well and has had a great pre-season, we are happy that he is with us." The Argentinian striker spent last season on-loan at Milan and Chelsea and is now back in the ranks at Juventus.

As a final note to the press, Nedved made it very clear that we remain a team winning culture that will compete at the highest level in Europe.

"Our confidence is formed because of our players. I believe that we have created one of the best teams in Europe, and with a coach that will have the necessary time to develop his game."

We kick-off against Parma on Saturday August 24, 18:00 CEST.
