After Juventus were drawn alongside Atletico Madrid, Bayer Levekusen and Lokomotiv Moscow, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to the media about the draw, but not before first reflecting on his debut campaign in Turin.
“My first year? Amazing. Special. I am happy to be here," he said at the Grimaldi Forum after the Champions League draw. "I moved away from Real Madrid after nine years, it was a great change; I won three cups – Scudetto, Italian Super Cup and UEFA Nations Cup. It was fantastic! On an individual level, I did well and as a team we did great. I am very happy and hopefully it will be a season with more records made."
The 34-year-old then spoke about the exciting group stage: “It was a good draw, the draws are always like that. I am proud of the team and I cannot wait for this beautiful Champions league. It won’t be easy, but I am confident. I see the beginning of the season is always tough, but it is a process. We take it one step at a time, it is always tough. I am really looking forward to it.”
