It’s been a week of hard work as Juve go all out for a very important match-up at Mapei Stadium this weekend.

Last time out, Juventus drew 3-3 at Allianz Stadium against Parma, despite having led the match for the majority of the game. A Cristiano Ronaldo brace and a Daniele Rugani volley saw the Bianconeri hold a 3-1 lead over the Ducali, however, the visitors rallied late on through a Gervinho double to ensure a share of the spoils in Turin.

Following a focused week of training, the Bianconeri will head to Emilia-Romagna looking to pick up three points and further maintain their lead at the top of the Serie A table, with second place Napoli in action the day before against Fiorentina.

Sassuolo sit 11th in Serie A with an aim to get into the upper echelon on the league table. In their last performance, they managed to hold Genoa to a two-goal draw away from home to earn them a point in enemy territory.

In a match that saw Sassuolo better Genoa with the more optimum chances at goal, they may have felt hard-done-by with just the one attempt going into the back of the net. It was Filip Đuričić’s attempt at the 28th minute mark that sent the visitors into the lead but an Antonio Sanabria strike a few minutes before the break denied our weekend opponents the win.

A Cristiano Ronaldo double won Juve the match the last time out against Sassuolo, with a brace coming in the 50th minute mark and then again five minutes after the stroke of the hour. It would be the first of his 17 strikes scored in the league so far. Wojciech Szczęsny was denied a clean sheet when Khouma Boubacar struck in stoppage time to see Juventus seal a 2-1 win.
