Juventus maintained their 100% winning record versus Parma on the opening day of the Serie A season, when they claimed a 1-0-win last night against the Ducali at Tardini. The fixture wasn’t the first time the Old Lady kick started their campaign against Parma, as yesterday’s outing to the Emilia Romagna outfit made it the fourth occasion.

Giorgio Chiellini’s goal – his first goal scored on Match Day 1 – proved decisive in securing all three points, and it allowed for the club to maintain their unbeaten record against Parma. In total, the two teams met in the opening round of Serie A back in 1990, 2011, 2012, and now, of course, in 2019, and they have claimed maximum points on every occasion.

Yesterday’s triumph also meant that Juventus have now won eight of their last nine opening Serie A matches.
