Linda Sembrant is officially a Juventus Women player! Having just recently played an important part for her country, Sweden in the Women's World Cup in France, as they finished in third place, beating England in the play-offs. Sembrant also got on the scoresheet in Sweden's 5-1 win over Thailand in the group stage.
Born in 1987, Sembrant is an accomplished defender, with plenty of international experience, having amassed over 100 caps for her country of Sweden. Sembrant began her career in her home nation, turning out for Balinge IF, AIK, Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC and Tyreso FF, winning the Swedish Cup win with Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC in 2011 and a league title with Tyreso FF in 2012.
In 2014, Sembrant started and played the full 90 minutes of Tyreso's Champions League final, as they narrowly lost against Wolfsburg 4-3. That summer, Sembrant moved to France where she played for Montpellier for five years prior to her move here.
Her international honours also include a Silver Medal for Sweden in the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, as well as a third-place finish at the 2011 World Cup.
