A year ago, 24 March 2019 at the Allianz Stadium, as often happens within those walls, history was written. A year ago we all experienced the emotions of the Premiére: the first time Juventus Women took to the field of the iconic Stadium.

It was an unforgettable day, preceded by days full of emotions, marked by thoughts and news that pushed the girls closer and closer to experience an unprecedented event. The reality of it all was that it went beyond expectations, with the 39 000 fans who filled the Bianconeri ground for Juventus-Fiorentina, a record attendance for Italian women's football.

In addition to the emotions of that splendid day of football, there was the added tension of it being a fundamental match, a potential Scudetto decider. Pedersen's decisive header put the ball over the line and secured a 1-0 result for Juve, handing the Bianconere a four-point lead with three matches remaining. That historic day was a prelude to the second consecutive title for our girls, who then wrapped up the season by adding the Coppa Italia to their trophy cabinet.

“I felt like I was in a movie,” declared coach Guarino after the match. “A turning point”, added Captain Gama, who pointed out the scope of the event not only for Juventus, but also for Italian women's football as a whole. 24 March 2019 is a date that represented a historic moment and a new starting point.
