Juve beat Brescia with a convincing 2-0 win, as Giorgio Chiellini made his return to the field for the last 15 minutes of the game. The captain along with the coach and Adrien Rabiot spoke to the press following the match.

GIORGIO CHIELLINI

“The worst part is over, now the most difficult part comes. I'm happy, I'm coming back slowly. Today, I thank the coach and my teammates because I needed a shock of energy and this quarter of an hour gave me it. Now, I have to work hard and catch up, to help my teammates, because in the last three months we have been playing all the competitions. My hope is to be ready for the key games. I hope that over these next weeks to continue to improve and to be able to make my contribution, now that the real business end is coming. I’m back with Juve first in the standings, with a good result also obtained in the first leg of the Coppa Italia and with the next stage of the Champions League coming, so I just have to thank my teammates for what they have done in these long five and a half months. I hope to bring a wave of enthusiasm, to those who have perhaps played a lot, it can be useful. Now we have a full month before the break, where there’s already an important crossroads for our season. Now we need to go for the league and it’s very important to get the points regardless of who is second or third. We are all there and it will be more beautiful also for the spectators, but we must think only of ourselves. We need all to be a united Juve, from the President to the employees.”

MAURIZIO SARRI

“We started well, then after ten minutes of impasse we unlocked the game and with them down to ten we moved the ball well. Dybala had freedom on the offensive front and Cuadrado was good at adapting. Chiellini said yesterday that he said he wanted to play the last quarter of an hour, and I found myself next to him when he had already taken off his tracksuit! He has made months of great sacrifices and is now getting better. We have a lot of strong players, but they are all atypical players, without a specific role and therefore there are different situations to implement. It was right for Cristiano to rest and so today we opted for this tactical solution. Ramsey feels more like a central midfielder than a playmaker and in the last three games he seemed to me to be improving and more involved in the movements and in the defensive phase. Historically, British players have struggled to adapt to the tactics of our football, but it seems to me that he has overcome the difficult phase and that he can reach a high-level performance.”

ADRIEN RABIOT

“It was an important victory to regain our confidence after the game in Verona. We managed to express ourselves well and we must continue like this, rapidly developing the offensive phase. Chiellini is the captain, a very important player who always supported us when he was out. Now very important games are coming, and they will be fundamental with his experience. Personally, I’m satisfied, I have worked a lot and now I’m finding a good continuity. I hope to grow further and to be able to continue like this. Now, we have a very important match against SPAL and then we will dedicate ourselves to the match against Lyon, a difficult challenge against an important team.”
