Juve secured a victory in Ferrara against SPAL, thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Ramsey, which saw them momentarily create a further gap over Lazio and Inter. Speaking at the end of the match Ramsey, Sarri and Cuadrado shared their thoughts.

AARON RAMSEY

“This victory is a great way to start a busy week: it is always very difficult to come and play on these types of fields and for this reason we are satisfied with today's result. My ideal role is that of “mezzala”, it is the position in which I have played all these years and where I express myself best. In fact, today, I also managed to score. The game against Lyon will be a difficult game: there are no simple games in the Champions League, but we are confident and ready to face it at best.”

Maurizio Sarri

"The game was to be closed extensively, and instead, despite having played a good match, we kept it alive. The feeling, however, is that we are growing, we are producing a good number of goalscoring chanes. We are conceding many penalty goals and this is strange. Chiellini? He played for an hour today, twenty minutes in the previous game, and while he was on the pitch we didn't concede. In the next ten days he may be ready to play a whole game: we have to see how he will react after tonight's effort, but we will choose the moment in which he is better. There were moments in the game in which we managed the pressure well, and others in which we are more passive. This is a problem with which we have been fighting since the beginning of the season, although it must be said that these moments are increasingly contained. However, we are a team with growth margins, especially from the point of view of continuity. We played a game of application and attention tonight. The Champions League gives great motivation, but all the matches are difficult: it is a competition within the reach of 10-12 teams, but only one wins, that who is the strongest but also the luckiest.”

Juan Cuadrado

"My assist to Ronaldo? These are patterns that we try in training, I put the ball to him when I saw that he entered into the box. I'm used to playing on the wing, even though when I started the season the coach put it in my head that I had to be a full-back and learn the defensive phase. I had to go there and learn, but then he told me I was an extra weapon because I could play two roles, and I'm happy with what I'm doing. We have a lot of confidence in view of Lyon, we know it will be a difficult match, but we are aware that we are a great team and we will go there with malice trying to make a result. I always like to play. You have to be professional and take care of your body. We must take steps to be more compact in defence: we are working on it but I think this way of playing enhances our characteristics and gradually we will also be more compact.”
