Press Room | The voices from San Siro
“We are in a phase in which we struggling to continue improve… Football has ups and downs, but tonight, in some places, we came out well from behind; I started seeing dribbles again, and from this we start again. If the dribble starts to regain altitude, we will play better even in the final few meters. The goal? It was a defensible ball, however we managed to maintain a result for the return match. After all, we have only conceded two more goals than the best defence in the league. Pjanic and Ramsey had a good game, Aaron then went down in the second half. Chiellini is out and we miss him - any team would.
“An away goal is important for a double-leg, but we cannot be satisfied. We gave away a lot, and so we have to change gears, while staying compact and giving something more. We are where we should be right now, but we have to put into practice what we do during the week and continue to grow as a team. The management of the game and the dribbling must be better, we must put our players in a position to make a difference in the final 30 meters.”
“I saw a Juve that I liked in the fluidity of the maneuvers, and that is essential to take control of the game. We weren't as effective as we deserved in the last 20 meters, but as it turned out, we pulled off a good result. It does not make you sleep soundly, but it is positive. When you play for Juve, the criticisms are right, because the bar is high and the objectives are important. After Napoli and Verona it is right that there were criticism, which can only do us good. Ronaldo? He is an incredible champion, playing with him is one of the reasons I came back.”
