The collaboration between Juventus and One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation dedicated to global reforestation projects, began in November 2020 with the ambitious goal of planting trees for every goal scored by the Club's teams and continued until December 2025.
Initially, each goal corresponded to 200 trees planted, with an impressive 25,000 trees planted during the first season. The following season maintained this momentum, with a further 22,800 trees planted. By the end of the project, Juventus had contributed to the planting of over 55,000 trees worldwide, which are expected to absorb approximately 14,400 tonnes of CO2 during the first 20 years after planting.
In 2023, the partnership evolved into a three-year project (2023–2025) focused on the Turin metropolitan area, particularly in locations including Orti Generali, Cascina Falchera and La Mandria Natural Park.
In line with this project and the Club's commitment to raising awareness among younger generations, Juventus organised an immersive educational activity at Orti Generali in Turin, involving the boys' and girls' Under-15 teams and the boys' Under-16 team, to mark Earth Day 2024. This experience gave the young athletes the opportunity to strengthen their connection with nature, learn the fundamentals of sustainable land management and understand the importance of taking concrete action to protect the planet.
Over the three-year collaboration period (2023–2025), 6,000 trees representing 62 different species were planted, and 3.4 hectares of land were restored in Italy. At Orti Generali, planting activities focused on stabilising slopes to control erosion and improve ecological integrity, including a significant intervention along the Sangone River aimed at restoring riparian habitats and reducing flood risk. At Cascina Falchera, the project enhanced an existing food forest by introducing new fruit-bearing species and planting hedgerows with trees around parking areas.
