Player Profile
Born in Gothenburg on 13 May 2000, Emil Holm developed as a footballer in the youth ranks of IFK Gothenburg. Promoted to the first team at the start of the 2019 season, he made his Allsvenskan debut -the top tier of Swedish football - at the age of 19, going on to make a total of 42 appearances for his hometown club.
He then moved to Denmark in January 2021 to join SønderjyskE before arriving in Italy in the summer of 2022 at Spezia, where he played one Serie A season. He subsequently made the move to Atalanta ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, making 32 appearances for the Nerazzurri and helping the club win the Europa League.
In June 2024, he joined Bologna. With the Emilia-Romagna side, he earned regular playing time thanks to his versatility as well as his technical and physical qualities, and claimed the third trophy of his career—the Coppa Italia, won in the final in Rome against Milan in May 2025.
