Raised in Werder Bremen’s youth academy, the 2002-born striker made his first-team debut in 2020—initially on loan at Elversberg and, after an excellent Bundesliga season back with Werder, he moved to Stuttgart in summer 2024. It was there that he truly broke out as a goalscorer: 18 goals in 36 appearances, also helping the club win the German Cup. Those numbers and performances drew Premier League interest, and Newcastle invested in him last summer: with the Magpies he has made 53 appearances in total, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists.
