Born in Thiaroye, Senegal, on 14 September 2002, Sarr took his first steps in football in his home country before moving to France to join Metz. It was with the French side that he first made a name for himself as a teenager, drawing the attention of Tottenham, who signed him in summer 2021 and then kept him on loan for another season in Ligue 1. A dynamic midfielder with an imposing physique, capable of combining quality and intensity in both phases of play, Sarr accumulated experience in the Premier League (over 100 league appearances) and in European competitions during his years in England, lifting the 2024/25 Europa League with Spurs. In parallel, he became a key figure for the Senegal national team, with whom he won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.
