We all agree that 2012 is the year from which our wonderful cycle started. Not only because it hosted the first of the eight Scudetti wins in a row, but also because of the completely exceptional way in which we experienced it. Day after day, there was a growing emotion that meant something deeper than the very important reunion with Juventus' winning past. The calendar year, in fact, already hinted that the journey was only at the beginning, that other stages would arrive, even if no one - not even the most incurable of the optimists - could have imagined the sequence of victories that we experienced and still are.
At the end of 2012, Hurrà Juventus compiled a top ten list of the goals scored. Wondering what are the characteristics that made each goal special? The beauty of the execution, of course. the originality of the game, and perhaps, more concretely, the sacrosanct importance for the results.
Taking all these factors into account, here is a list of five collectible moments over time.
FIORENTINA-JUVENTUS 0-5 ANDREA PIRLO
The Old Lady overwhelmed La Viola on home soil with a hard 0-5 win, a historical scoreline, which had never been seen before. The exceptionality of the evening is well represented by Andrea Pirlo who partners up with Mirko Vucinic. The midfielder comes himself face-to-face with the goalkeeper to transform the Montenegrin's invention into the net with a soft touch. And by simply recognising his name, you know that any goal scored by Pirlo is a magical strike converted by the Maestro.
JUVENTUS-LAZIO 2-1 ALESSANDRO DEL PIERO
The Bianconero No. 10 hit so many perfect free-kicks that any debate on which is the most beautiful or the most important risks becoming an academic exercise. This is the most surprising, however, no doubt. Because Del Piero struck a precise effort that sailed through the wall, deceived Marchetti as it bounced inside the box and left him rooted to the goal line. Is it an exaggeration to say - in hindsight - that in that moment we knew that we would win the league?
JUVENTUS-ROMA 4-0 ARTURO VIDAL
A goal, or rather two. Impossible to separate them, even at the cost of enlarging the Top Five a bit with an additional number. With four minutes on the clock, Vidal threw himself onto the ball that was crossed into the penalty area, his conversion was a clear sign that Juve-Roma was already going in a certain direction. Another four minutes later and the Chilean invented a dazzling shot to grab his second on the night. Many things about Vidal remain in our memory of him, but make room, because this fast brace deserves to be there.
CAGLIARI-JUVENTUS 0-2 MIRKO VUCINIC
There are so many happy images from that iconic day in Trieste, the day in which we won our 30th league title. It was Vucinic who helped get the party started when he got onto the end of Bonucci's cross to bang it into the back of the net. His early strike with six minutes on the clock allowed the Bianconeri population to breathe a bit easier.
JUVENTUS-TORINO 3-0 CLAUDIO MARCHISIO
The first derby at the Stadium has never been forgotten, and fittingly, the first goal between these two sides at Juve's new home was achieved by a boy who played for them already as a child. Giovinco delivered in a cross from the right flank, Marchisio came running onto the end of it, dived and nodded it into the back of the net, as he ran off beating his fist on the Juve badge situated on his chest, in celebration.
