In their final Allievi Nazionali encounter ahead of the winter break, Felice Tufano’s troops played out a 1-1 draw with second-place Empoli in Vinovo earlier today.

With both teams separated only by a point in the standings, a win for either side would have allowed them to steal a march on the other in the quest for the league title.

The visitors took the lead through Samuele Damiani after only four minutes before Carlo Manicone levelled it up 360 seconds later.

This early flurry was to yield the only goal action of the game, with the point ensuring Juventus see in the new year as league leaders. Their championship campaign resumes when they travel to Tuscany to face Livorno on Sunday 11 January.
