Juventus and Tuija Hyyrynen’s journey will continue along the same road for a fourth consecutive season, after she penned in a deal with the Bianconere until 2021.
The full-back has been a part of the team since the very beginning, where she has worked her way to become a stalwart in Rita Guarino’s backline. Her calm and collected persona allows her to slide into any tackle with ease and timeliness, while her dedication and perseverance means she can constantly be found trying to move the ball up the field.
In and amongst her solid defensive displays, the 32-year-old found the back of the net for the first time in the black and white jersey against Hellas Verona, in February this year. It was a goal that further underlined Hyyrynen’s determination in helping her team triumph.
Tuija’s three years with the Bianconere has also seen her add silverware to her trophy cabinet, accumulating two league titles, an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup. There’s no doubt that she will be chasing more next season!
Congratulations Tuija, see you on the field!
