Juventus proved dominant against Dynamo Kyiv as they claimed a 3-0 win at the Allianz Stadium in their penultimate Champions League group stage fixture. Federico Chiesa opened the scoring in the first half, before goals from Ronaldo and Morata put the result beyond a doubt.

CHIESA OPENS THE SCORING

Juventus dominated the opening proceedings of the match with their pressing play. McKennie was the first to force a save out of Bushchan, with his downward header that was turned around the post in the 17th minute. The Bianconeri got their breakthrough just four minutes late after a great move: Alex Sandro delivered in a cross into the box which Chiesa met, and he directed it into the bottom of the net with his head. The Brazilian nearly added a second assist to his name when he fed the ball to Ronaldo: the Portuguese struck a powerful effort that rattled off the crossbar. Dynamo’s first threat came five minutes from the break when Tsygankov was passed the ball and fired towards goal, but it was brilliantly saved by Szczesny, who did well to come off his line and make the save.

CR750

The rhythm of the game had slowed down in the second half, and it took until the 54th minute for Juve to force a save from Bushchan, after he fingertipped Ronaldo’s effort over the bar. Juventus did get their second goal of the game though, when Ronaldo converted from close range to score his 750th goal: Chiesa crossed in the ball, Bushchan made the initial save, which rebounded off Morata’s shin and allowed for the Portuguese to tap in over the line.

MORATA ADDS A THIRD

There was never any doubt about the Bianconeri’s dominance in the match, and they nabbed a third goal through Morata. The Spaniard scored in the calmest of manners: he took three touches, let the defenders slip past him as he fired into the back of the net. The final chance of the game fell to Dynamo, when Lednev’s shot was brilliantly denied by Szczesny.
