25 November 2025
On 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Juventus presents I Believe You, a campaign developed with Fondazione Libellula and designed to give strength and credibility to those who experience violence.
I BELIEVE YOU: A SIMPLE BUT FUNDAMENTAL MESSAGE
“You're exaggerating,” “You're too sensitive,” “Relax”: too many women who experience violence are not believed. According to the latest ISTAT survey on the subject (‘Stereotypes about gender roles and the social image of sexual violence’, 2018), 10.3% of the population believes that reports of sexual violence are often false.
More recent research by Eurobarometer 2024 confirms that stereotypes persist: about 28% of respondents think that reports may be exaggerated. The percentage rises to 34% among men, compared to 21% among women (‘Gender stereotypes - Violence against women’, Eurobarometer Report, EU Commission, February 2024).
The first hurdle, therefore, is not only reporting the abuse, but finding someone willing to believe you. I Believe You was created to combat this problem, a message of trust and acceptance for those who decide to break their silence or would like to do so.
For Juventus, saying I Believe You means taking a stand. It means not looking the other way. It means creating an environment, both on and off the pitch, where every woman can feel listened to, believed and supported.
STICKERS: A SIMPLE GESTURE IN THE PLACES THAT MATTER
Starting on 25 November, stickers bearing the words I Believe You will be placed in various locations around the club: from the Allianz Stadium to the headquarters, from the Continassa Training Centre to the Allianz Training Centre in Vinovo.
The stickers are designed to be present in everyday spaces: bathrooms, gyms, changing rooms, and offices. These are places where the opportunity, and the courage, to ask for help often arise.
THE QR CODE: IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO HELP FOR THE COMMUNITY
Each sticker contains a QR code that provides access to a dedicated page with:
- A selection of local numbers and services to contact in case of need
- The initiatives carried out by Juventus and Fondazione Libellula.
LIBELLULA AMBASSADORS: LISTENING AND SUPPORT WITHIN THE CLUB
The campaign represents a new stage in the journey that began in 2022, together with Fondazione Libellula. Starting this year, Juventus staff will also be able to count on the “Ambassadors”: two employees who have undergone training provided by Fondazione Libellula, becoming points of reference against gender-based violence and discrimination. Their role is to offer a listening ear and support to those experiencing violence, becoming an additional point of contact.
