Lia Wälti has joined Juventus from Arsenal, signing a contract with the Bianconere until 30 June 2027.

Wälti, the Swiss national team captain, has made over 100 appearances so far for her national team since 2011, with her most recent appearances coming during July's European Championship on home soil.

The central midfielder also made well over 100 appearances for her previous club Arsenal. Since 2018, Lia has made a name for herself at the North London club, winning the WSL, the FA Women's League Cup twice and most notably the UEFA Women's Champions League, beating Barcelona 1-0 in the final in Lisbon in May.

Before joining Arsenal, Wälti gained valuable experience in Switzerland, playing at youth level for Langnau and Koniz, then at the national sports centre run by the Swiss Football Association for six months, before moving to Team Bern West and later to Young Boys. This is where she made her first team debut and won the Swiss top-flight, her first title in her career. She then moved to Germany to play for Turbine Potsdam before making the move over to English football.

She is now coming to Italy, where she will be able to bring her talent and experience gained over the years playing at a top level in the Women's Super League and competing against top clubs in Europe, on the biggest stage, the UWCL.

Welcome, Lia!
