At the midway point between last weekend’s win over Napoli and Wednesday’s Champions League match at home to Lyon (kick-off at 20.45 CET), Massimiliano Allegri led his charges out for training again in Vinovo.
Technique and tactics were the order of the day, as the Bianconeri set their sights on gaining three points against Les Gones that would secure their passage to the knockout stages after just four Group H games.
This morning also saw Giorgio Chiellini undergo medical tests which revealed that the defender had sustained a severe knock to the posterior region of his right thigh in an incident which caused him to be withdrawn after 40 minutes of Saturday’s 2-1 success against Napoli. Chiellini is expected to return to action after November’s international break.
Tomorrow the team will resume training at 15.00 CEST with the first 15 minutes open to the media. Shifting from Vinovo to Juventus Stadium, Allegri and Gonzalo Higuain will preview Wednesday’s match at 18.30.
Lyon, meanwhile, hold their press confrence at 17.20 before finalising their preparations for this Champions League Matchday Four at 18.00.
