Hard work paying off

“Reaching the next round is a huge satisfaction for everyone: the directors, the players, the manager and the supporters. We can be sure that we’ve deserved to qualify for the semi-finals, which is a result of the hard working culture that exists within the whole club.

“Juventus has built up a true international mentality by choosing players who, before coming to Turin, were capable of winning World Cups or Champions Leagues.

“Their experience and charisma have rubbed off on their colleagues and now we’ve a very strong mindset combined with the fact that the overall quality of the squad has improved.

“Since the arrival of Andrea Agnelli as president, things have picked up year on year.”

Allegri excels again

“(Massimiliano) Allegri is a very talented coach. The club has supported him and he has put together the squad and made it a winning one. In three years together, we’ve reached the Champions League semi-finals twice. “Without doubt, he has had a huge part to play in this. His contract expires in 2018 and, so far, his work here has benefitted everyone. We don’t see any reason to bring an end to that.”

Dybala proving his worth

“(Paulo) Dybala is a natural-born winner, but every member of the squad has contributed to us reaching the semi-finals. When we signed him, Paulo was a player full of promise, but now he is a proven star and he’s still got room for improvement.

“At first, we were criticised because we paid a lot for him, but now it’s pretty clear that he’s worth every penny.”

Thoughts on Friday’s draw

“Each opponent has their strengths and weaknesses. Last night’s achievement will be a great one if we’re ultimately crowned champions. There are still two rounds left to overcome.

“Before that however, we’ve the Scudetto to go for and it’s necessary that we concentrate on that.”
